Admissions

The MA Chaplaincy program is for individuals pursuing a career as a chaplain. In order to apply to the program, students must obtain endorsement from the ecclesiastical endorser of the Specialized Ministries Division of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and submit an application through BYU Graduate Studies by December 1.

Admission Requirements

  • GRE
  • Transcripts
  • Statement of intent
  • 2 letters of recommendation (professional or academic)
  • A letter of recommendation (this is your endorsement) from Specialized Ministries
    Military Relations, Chaplain Services, Prison Ministry
    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
